Blossom sphere is a jewellery item that can be worn as a pendant or as a ring. Its internal structure allows the blossom sphere to transform from a sphere to a flower.

The design objective was the creation of a dual function jewellery piece with which user has the opportunity to select the state, pendant or ring, and contribute to the transformation.

The sphere is divided in its four quadrants and encloses the ring and the mechanism composed basically of hinges and rivets in order to accomplish the desired motion transmission.

blossom sphere is a functional concept prototype made of polished platinum plated silver and sandblasted black platinum plated silver.

The internal faces of the leaves are painted with red acrylic lacquer. A red cord accompanies the pendant state of this item.
